Volunteering and Collaborative Efforts

Annually, DEP places AmeriCorps members across Idaho in the role of Digital Navigators, increasing the capacity of local communities to provide dedicated support to individuals and businesses. DEP’s Digital Navigators can assist in developing digital skills, course enrollment, and facilitating broadband internet access through Broadband Action Teams. By fostering Broadband Action Teams, AmeriCorps members invite collaboration among stakeholders to support broadband infrastructure and affordability. This type of collaboration enables the DEP to connect directly with rural communities to enhance digital literacy, access, and adoption at a local level, and throughout Idaho.
