Enrollment in the Build and Grow Your e-Business Course is ongoing. Register anytime and jump in to one of the four modules at your pace.* Weekly Zoom workshops are held Thursdays at 6 pm MT/5 pm PT for one hour (Starting September 2024). The course is divided into 4 learning modules, delivered over two-week time periods, for an 8-week course.

*Participants have 150 days to complete this course once enrolled.

This course will run on an 8-week cycle with 4 modules, each spread over a 2 week period.

Time Commitment

Prepare for eight weeks with a commitment of 3 to 5 hours per week. The entire course takes approximately 24-40 hours to complete.

Weekly Zoom workshops held Thursdays at 6 pm MT/5 pm PT for one hour (Starting September 2024). Course is designed in 4 learning modules delivered over two-week sprints for an 8-week course if completing all modules and activities.

  • Enroll here and you will be taken to a course page where you can review the course outline and requirements. Choose “Add to Cart” to start the enrollment process.

  • To participate in the course, you will need the following tools and abilities:

    • Reliable Access to Broadband:
      Participation in the modules and workshops throughout this online course will require a stable internet connection. You need broadband Internet (DSL, Cable, Fiber, etc.) with a minimum speed of 8Mbps download and 2Mbps upload to participate in the video workshops. Check your Internet speed using Imagine Idaho’s Speed Test tool.

    • Reliable Device & Accessory Access:
      Participation in the modules will require either a working laptop or desktop that can connect to the Internet. Tablets and smartphones are not sufficient. Chromebooks are not supported.

    • Access to a computer’s web camera and microphone for weekly Zoom workshops.

    • Use of personal headphones when accessing learning modules and/or workshops from a public use computer such as the library.

    • Basic Computer Proficiency:
      Student success in this course will require proficiency in the areas listed below. While we do teach the use of new tools, basic proficiency in the listed areas will be required. Are you able to do the following on a computer?

      • Send an email with an attachment.

      • Download and upload a file to/from your desktop.

      • Do basic tasks in a word processing and spreadsheet program.

  • Yes! After you complete the enrollment process, you will be in the course learning platform where you’ll be able to engage with the course instructor.

  • In the Build and Grow your e-Business Course you will:

    • Identify a business to start or assess a current business

    • Craft a business name and logo

    • Identify target customers for the business

    • Develop a Social Media Marketing Plan

    • Identify legal business structures

    • Identify business license and permit requirements

    • Plan a business website

    • Explore online website building platforms to create a business website

    • Explore online payment platforms
